In a previous post, we discussed an easy way to fill-in forms and reports having recurrent data with the help of custom properties and fields. Thanks to a comment from Wayne, I found out that filling the actual value of the fields with the “conventional” method (the use of the default Word form) was not so handy and has big disadvantages.

When working with Microsoft Word, a great part of administrative tasks consists in filling forms and generating reports on a pre-established templates or models. Now if within your document you have recurrent data (like customer name, company name, etc.) filling the document will be much easier if we would be able to enter this data in only one location and then populate the document automatically.
This article will introduce the use of the custom properties of a Microsoft word document. The idea is to create these properties according to our needs, insert empty fields in the document corresponding to the already created properties in the exact locations where we want them to appear. The new ISO9001:2008 is not bringing big change compared to the 2000 edition. Changes will be discussed in an upcoming post but meanwhile, i thought useful to publish the official interpretation made by TC176 of all confusing clauses of the 2000′ edition collected all over the last 8 years. Inventive people found many funny “uses” of Google Earth, and after tracking naked people, traffic accidents and top secret military installations, here is the the proof that it could serve also for serious things: Swiss police found a plantation of approximately 1600 Cannabis in Thurgau hidden in the middle of a corn field thanks to it.

Je suis tombé par pur hasard sur un article récent du « journaliste » Chokri GHARBI, paru dans le journal La Presse. Pour résumer l’article en deux mots, je dirai simplement qu’il n’aurait pas dû être publié. La quantité de bêtises que le journaliste réputé disait n’a d’égal que son style médiocre et imprécis non digne d’un journaliste. Ci après vous trouverez l’article dans sa version « commentée ».
